FOUNDERS LETTER 2023

As I wrote in the original founders letter 10 years ago, “Jarvis Media is not a conventional company and we do not intend to become one.” As part of that, I also said that you could expect us to make “smaller bets in areas that might seem very speculative or even strange when compared to our current businesses.” From the start, we’ve always strived to do more, and to do important and meaningful things with the resources we have.

I have long believed that over time companies tend to get comfortable doing the same thing, just making incremental changes. But in the technology industry, where revolutionary ideas drive the next big growth areas, you need to be a bit uncomfortable to stay relevant.

Our company is operating well today, but we think we can make it cleaner and more accountable. I am really excited to be a part of next generation of Jarvis Media Group with my capable son, Austin, as CEO.

With the recent acquisition of BusinessWP, we are adding a plethora of new, exciting, and creative products, services, and A.I. solutions that will propel our company into the next decade of online customer development and care.

Mr. Jarvis is “the innovator’s innovator.” His impact on the creative and entrepreneurial communities started over thirty years ago, where he learned how to problem solve and build an extraordinary growth mindset. It was then that Mr. Jarvis first learned to ally with early-stage entrepreneurs and use his innately accurate sense for connecting the right people to the right projects – and at the right time. His philosophy of raw honesty and humility and constant engagement is truly changing and growing the way new ideas take shape and emerge.

Today Mr. Jarvis’s leadership and out-of-the-box thinking has paved the way for him to partner with many technology pioneers, as well as participate in networks of makers, creators, collaborators and investors from the United States, Europe, Africa, India, and China. John’s passion is advancing innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders, through his strategic consulting services and network.

Mr. Jarvis’s frequently works as a cross-border agent, consultant, investor and business partner in early to growth stage companies in the blockchain, technology, gaming, animation, music & film, IoT, VR, AI, and international finance space. Over the years, John pioneered a diverse portfolio of companies.
